Grading

After training for a minimum of two months, you are eligible to begin your grading journey. We train together and grade together, up until black belt level.

How it works

Every month, all classes will be given a tag test. This take place during normal class hours and will be a combination of fitness and techniques that we will have been working on. At the end of the test, students will receive a tag on their belt. Once they have three tags, they are able to take part in the next grading.

The Grading

Held at our Buckie studio (the address for which can be found here) gradings take place four times a year and are an opportunity for you to put all that they have learnt into practice.

The grading will be 45-60 mins for all classes with the exception of pre-black belt and black belt tests.

During the grading, students will be pushed hard but the honour of achieving their next belt makes it all the more worthwhile!

As with tag tests, the grading will be a combination of fitness and techniques. Gradings are undertaken as a class – students will not be on their own, even though they will all be trying to achieve different belts.

Our instructors assess students individually; we do not have a “one size fits all” approach. Our one criteria is that students put in maximum effort at all times.

At the end of the grading, students will receive a certificate and the next belt in their kickboxing journey.

More information about grading will be made available as and when dates are confirmed throughout the year.
